FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy is a safe space for you to release your thoughts, It is an outlet to express what you are feeling and thinking without any fear of being judged. The information provided and the details shared are always confidential. During the therapy, you can share, talk, and discuss your challenges, stressors, thoughts, and emotions regarding any situations at work, home, and beyond. If you feel the need you can also reflect and introspect on any area of life where you feel you find it difficult to cope or any challenges which you are not able to navigate through it.

There are no ready-made solutions given ever by any therapist during the session to anyone. It is a space where the therapist plays the role of a mirror where you can feel free to talk and just be yourself. Once you have opened up, you can get equipped with different tools by the therapist which will help you with sufficient guidance and direction to navigate through your obstacles. It also equips you with a road map which will be helpful and effective in understanding where you are and what is the next step you would like to take.

No fixed number is told by the therapist regarding the number of sessions that the client would require. It completely depends on the severity of the area mentioned during the session and also it depends on the need the client has at that moment. It may also vary from person to person. Everyone's areas of concern are different and so is the severity.

One can first get better aware of oneself. After getting well-equipped with tools and strategies that will help you navigate through your challenges, you can taper the dependency on the therapy. Periodic follow-up sessions once in two weeks or once a month will help you to stay more mindful and will also help you to feel better emotionally.

Talking to friends is a great way to vent, share your problems, and also discuss different solutions. But remember, talking to a therapist will give you an unbiased and non-judgemental space. Additionally, keep in mind that in the therapeutic space, you are talking to a therapist who is professionally trained well equipped, and skilled with different standardized tools which can be learned only from a professional psychologist during the therapeutic sessions. These tools not only help people in coping up with mental health concerns but it also makes them less dependent.
